ABOUT US
Our History
Owner, Kieron Olsen has been fishing for about 30 years now starting with rock fishing around the North Shore and Whangaparaoa areas with L B G trips to the Far north and Coromandel most weekends and boat fishing every wherein-between before moving to Karikari Peninsula in 2000. Kieron crewed on game boats in Paihia for a few years before getting too busy with custom rod building and reel servicing.
The shop in Karikari started under a house then moved to Inland Rd in 2009.

In October 2017 he opened a brand new store at Taipa to further service the fishing needs of Northland locals and the thousands of visitors that arrive every year to fish the North.
We specialize in servicing all types of reels and can build you a custom rod you have always wanted. We have designed & built rods for Shimano, Kiri Tekanawa & Ultimate Lady, just to name a few.
